Fruits Galore at Monsopiad Cultural Village

EVERY Thursday and Friday throughout August 2009, there is a special display of local fruit at the Monsopiad Cultural Village in Penampang, Sabah. There it was… a wide variety of local fruits on exhibition under a bamboo tent near the entrance and ready to be tasted by visitors on their way in or out.

Tangau: ‘Invite Cultural Elders To Officiate Kaamatan’

KOTA KINABALU – Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau, chairman of the Sabah Cultural Board since 2003, has made a call for official programmes of the annual Pesta Kaamatan (Harvest Festival) celebrations to move forward by giving “cultural elders” the opportunity to disseminate information pertaining to the cultural heritage of the Dusuns and Kadazans.
