SABAH Tourism Board’s chairman, Tengku Zainal Adlin, has disclosed that the east Asean growth area, known as BIMP-EAGA, has accepted ‘Equator Asia’ as its new tourism brand. He said this decision was made in May this year in order “to celebrate the rediscovery of one of the earth’s remaining legacies”.

IN recognition of the crucial role and participation of the private sector in accelerating the successful implementation of the sub-region’s programmes and projects, the Ministers from East ASEAN countries of Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines, during the inaugural meeting of BIMP-EAGA, endorsed the creation of the East ASEAN Business Council (EABC).
